I hear that diving the dumpsters at the Stanford dorms the week after move-out can be highly productive.

No kidding.  I used to live on 3rd.

I have to admit I have dove a Dumpster or three.  Recently I snagged some really nice hardwood scraps that a cabinet shop was tossing out.

My brother and I dove quite a few dumpsters in our younger days. Back before recycling and liberal  merchandise return policies stores would just chuck damaged goods in the dumpsters.

A few years ago one of the employees lost her wedding ring and was sure it went out with the trash at work. I offered to dump the dumpster with the forklift ...she declined and went in herself. While she was rooting around I snapped a photo of her diggng around....she lost her mind and made me delete the photo...haha...I still have the picture somewhere.

These guys cant even read.

When I was attending HSU I ended up seeing a women that was about 33...I was 21 (enough said).... after a few wild nights she shares with me her earthy ways including dumpster diving  ... she shares with me all the stuff she has found over the years.... I got so grossed out  .... after  that I always imagined her standing on head with her feet straight up in the air ... or perhaps that was another thing that see did. and I cannot remember the details.
