Has anyone used gummy worms for fish bait? i saw a video where a guy was catching ling cod on them. after he released the ling he would eat the worm.

i guess presented properly it could work well given enough light and motion.

I was on a chater one time and a guy came on the boat with a bag of gummi worms and I thought he was crazy. I have never used them but I was watching him and he was pulling up fish with it. This is only the 2nd time I have heard of this.
