Something else to consider;
The transmit power comes off the antenna and that antenna is pretty close to your eyeballs.  Not a good thing.  Usually a radio user will tip the radio back so the antenna is pointed back past the ear.  The better way is to mount the radio upside down so the antenna is down near the chest area, not the face.  It will work just as well without any RF risks to soft tissues.
