Hey guys, i have the opportunity to buy a Garmin 300c brand new for 100 bucks from a friend or i can save a little more and get the Eagle Cuda 350. Any opinions? Anyone use the Garmin 300 and like it? Please let me know!

Both are descent starter units.  The only plus I see of the Eagle, from my experience with their units, is that you can keep the transducer installed and swap to a better head unit (some with GPS/Fishfinder) from the Eagle and/or Lowrance line of products.  Granted, not all of their products are interchangeable but some do use the same transducer.  Just my thoughts.

As for the garmin, it is a descent unit.  A little on the low/"pixel" side of graphics IMHO.

Bottom line, both are good starter units and better than none at all!
