I personally, own a shark-shield and believe in the technology. The austrailian military believes in the technology, This is a killer deal. Commercial divers and their insurers mandate it down under. I hope someone jumps on this deal. I paid twice this price for mine.

I've PM'd everyone that is interested in the SS.    Sale is pending.  If it falls through, I'll go to the next person down the list.

Reason for sale.  I moved back to Hong Kong.  Won't have any time to see the big blue on a kayak anytime soon.

My wife and Shicken(Marv) are assisting with the sale.

Thanks,
Mike

Like my association with this manufacturer, Shark Shield has gone through several changes the past 3 years and seems to have overcome the issues that go with a new product and growth.  I believed in the technology enough to have staked my reputation on it, there for awhile, and I believe in their US distributor enough to come back again now.  The company is strong and producing a quality shark deterrent unit.
The retail price of Shark Shield is now $590.00 plus tax and shipping.  The former MSRP was $700 bucks and I think the lower price will help a lot of anglers who want to gear up with it.  I 'm pretty sure the warranty is one year, like a radio or GPS unit.  Mine has lasted 4 years so far.

Here's the (my) deal.  Shark Shield is a moderately priced piece of technology that produces "peace-of-mind" for kayak anglers.  I would never sell this product to anglers based on anyone's fear of sharks.  Drawing many unwanted sharks to the kayak over the years and knowing that if I ever need to swim for my paddle through a cloud of blood (my buddy Falcon's experience)...that is what drew me to Shark Shield.  The testimony of individuals who have been in the jaws of white sharks and only returned to their marine pursuits because of this technology, sold me on it.  Having Shark Shield on my kayak delivers complete peace-of-mind in shark infested waters.  After preaching "total blood containment" my entire career, I'll clean a tuna with my feet soaking as long as my Shark Shield light is green.
Contact me anytime for more info or to get hooked up.

Right on Spike.  I'm a believer, and I'd like to get one, one day.  I'd love to hear Falcon's story!  That sounds crazy!

About 7 years ago, Falcon and I were leaving the East Cape on a noon flight out of Cabo.  At breakfast, he says "I haven't caught a tuna yet and I'm going out now".  He came back with the 35# yellowfin and said since it was hot out, he gilled and gutted the fish for the paddle back.  After stowing the tuna, he saw his paddle floating 30 yards away with a slick of blood and oil between him and the paddle.  It was an unnerving experience to slip into the water, swim for the paddle and back to the kayak in all that offal, 2 miles off the beach.  I wouldn't think twice about that swim with a Shield strapped to my ankle and thought about this event when I first considered Shark Shield.
