We caught a lot of those Kamloops up in Kamloops BC years back. Fly in lakes with no roads. What smoker are you using Ed? Brown sugar and salt is about all I use. Sometimes Ill make a glaze from brown sugar, fresh ground ginger root and orange zest. Thats the shit right there dude! Great report and pics. Those trout got tails!

Whether it's from a boat or a yak, that is some sweet fishing there! Those are some healthy fish, love the color of the meat on that trout too!! Thanks for the report Ed :D

Your thinking sounds perfectly logical. You can probably ride that bite to the more southern/shady bays a little later into the spring when they warm.

Beautiful fish. Congrats. Nice looking water/shore. Throw in some walleyes and it would be a perfect.
