Nice! That was one hot fish. Once you learn to flyfish it's tuff to ever go back. After this weekend the only fishing I'm going to want to do will be drifting flies in a stream.  :smt003
And you could hear me screaming a mile away as I was headed out for the door....

a lot of the rivers and streams are either blown out or access is blocked by snow drifts in the high elevations, should be able to get to most of them earlier then last year though!
Fishing is cheaper than therapy!

+1

I was thinking about going up north but gonna wait a couple more weeks and go for a weekend.  Then Pit 1 in a raft on Memorial day weekend. A little bird told me Pit 3 and 4 have been fishing just OK. The McCloud will be swarmed on the opener but should fish well. Upper Sac will fish if you know where to go in high flows, big spawners are in from the lake now. If I were to go I would do the Lower Sac from a pontoon or kayak, 6K CFS is still low. Those are the only places in Norcal I'll talk about, the others well.... :smt003
