Went Friday to Pardee with my Hobie Pro Angler, managed to get one decent rainbow before the warm weather got too unmanageable for me with wool thermals on.  This bow fought so hard it had the tip of my rod dipping in the water, really surprised me how hard it pulled.  I usually do well in the no wake zone but only marked a few fish on the fishfinder this trip.  The water clarity was remarkably clear after all the storms with around 7' visibility.  Water temps were 52 degrees.  Most people head for the main lake so I mostly had the area to myself.

I love Pardee.  It's my favorite shore fishing lake over by Woodpile.  I can't wait until I take my PA over there.

I really like Pardee until it gets too hot in the valley.  One thing about Pardee is it is a pretty good sized lake and to get to where I like to fish in my Gregor would take a while in the yak so I mostly stay in the no wake zone.

During the summer, I'll be at the gate when they open, head over to Woodpile, catch a limit and then breakfast at their little cafe before heading home.  Sometimes I can be back before the DW even wakes up!

The sunrises there are nothing short of spectacular.

Do you ever head up the hill?  Lots of great lakes on and off highway 88, ICR should start up pretty quick, Upper and Lower Blue Lakes, etc.
I don't even know where Woodpile is on Pardee.

Woodpile; as you enter the gate, take the right turn and go all the way out to the far campground and day parking area.  It's a big cove back there.

The lakes up along 88 are still iced over, but getting slushy along the shore so not safe to go out on the ice anymore.  But yes!  I like to fish them.
