Went out with my Mom, Dad and good friend Captain Sonny Schindler for ShoreThing Charters.

Weather kept us over by sheltered structure instead of running over to the marsh, but we managed to get a mess of small but hard fighting and tasty puppy drum, and one big ol sea monster of a Black Drum that my Dad caught and released.

Good times!!

Glad you and your parents had a great time catching fish after fish.  Thanks for the report, video, and pictures Jim.

Reminds me of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (CBBT) fishing in Virginia.

Nice black drum!

Fishing with your father/Priceless :smt004
My father isn't the fishing type :smt009
His passion is baseball, and everytime I visit him (82 yrs. old) we play catch, ala Field of Dreams. :smt003
Thanks for the cool report/visuals :smt004

Great stuff Jim - great to see you and your folks having good times!

When I saw your message that you were heading to New Orleans I thought maybe you were going to the Final Four .....................or maybe interviewing for a head coaching vacancy.    :smt044

Safe travels!

That black drum is a beast Jim!  Props to your Pops!  I remember seeing those fish on TV once...they get enormous.  The puppy drum look fun, how do they cook up?  Similar to rockfish?
