[fishing from a friends boat since I dont yet own a kayak, I'm interested if anyone is selling though]

Yesterday was a pretty good day at folsom lake.  We were fishing from a boat out towards what I believe to be is the west end of the lake.  We got a couple of spotted bass, a few large mouth bass, a small mouth bass and three trouts.  I heard from local fisherman that the lake is pretty tough and that thats pretty good for folsom lake this time of year.  All the bass we caught came out of water that was approximately 15-25 ft, late afternoon/evening; fishing on the bottom with jigs.  I was told that the fishing is only going to get better and better from here on out.  Good luck to everyone.  :smt004

That is a pretty good day on Folsom, usually takes all your effort to get a couple of your target species. Multiple species days can be rare there. I was out there yesterday, trolled from beaks point to dyke 8 and back, lost a king after a two minute fight and caught and realsed a 15" bow.

I've got an extra kayak you are welcome to use and hit Folsom frequently this time of year, I'll probably be back out there this afternoon. Let me know if you want to hookup.

Welcome to the Madness!!
