1 inch ball but you could buy the Tallon 1.5" RAM ball if you wanted to?

after a little homework this seems to be a pretty good option. The lack of reviews and time tested for the durability has me a little concerned. As long as I am Not using down scan this should work for the Lowrance® Elite-4 Color Fishfinder/Chartplotter Combo. Jason do you mind me asking why this didn't work for you?

There are two reasons why:

1.  The install requires a hole at least 2" inches wide and is in the shape of Micky Mouse's head.  There isn't a template so you'll have to get creative.  It's not going to be an easy install for me but I'm sure it'll be easy for someone else.   I can provide more pictures from the bottom if you like? 

2.  After being OTW on a couple of trips using my Elite 5 I realized I need FF installed closer to me - it's currently installed on the sail mast of my Outback.  Installing it in the same location as it's installed in the video is the only option I have, which is too far.

Sure, we can meet in Union City if you want to get this.  Here are some pictures from the bottom.  Let me know if you have any questions.

To install it, you would install the Tallon mount first (my thumb is on it in the 1st picture).  Then you would install the plate (2nd picture) over it and that has the port for a cigarette lighter female connection and the connection that's used for the FF (comes with a little male to female connection that fits in that port).
