New OldSchool Weapon for GS6

Just finished in time for GS6. Top section of a 50's Conolon surf rod found at a yard sale for $3, an old Agate guide from the flea market, some parts I had laying around and a few new items. Matched it up with a Newell 229 I had, and rebuilt, thanks to Alan Tani's great website and tutorials.
Can't wait to break her in.
Almost packed, leaving early in the am.

Nice build man! I enjoy reading about and seeing the rebuilding of old school rods. How is the action on that particular one? Again nice work and I like how the thread matches the reel.

That's hard core old school.  Conolon---haven't even heard that for awhile.  The Newell is a great touch!  Just don't chip those guides.

Is that pink Ande on the spool?
