The time has come for me to move on from the hobby.  I never really had the chance to get into it the way I wanted, time was a killer and my personal situation changed a lot (mostly for the better, but with less time).  I have barely had time to use any of the gear I am selling.  I am selling the following:

Almost new Daiwa Steez 103SHA 7:1 casting reel - asking $475 open to best offers.  It literally is like new, been used maybe 4 times.
Almost new St.Croix Legend Extreme Casting Rod XC70MF - asking $330 and open to best offer.

The two items above are in incredible condition, polished clean, conditioned well, all original packaging and care oil for the steez, original carry cover case for the St.Croix etc.  If you set them beside a new one, you would find it hard to tell the difference right off.

Specs on the Rod:
Rod: 7' 1 piece rod / casting
Power: medium
Action: Fast
Line Wt: 10lb-17lb
Lure Wt: 1/4oz-5/8oz
Rod wt: 3.7oz
Handle: 3

Features on the Steez:
Ultra-fast 7.1:1 gear ratio
The lightest high-speed reels of their kind
Eleven precision ball bearings, plus roller bearing
Magnesium frame and handle-side sideplate
Swept handle for less wobble, better feel and maximum winding leverage
Tough, A7075 tempered aluminum drive gear and phosphor bronze pinion
Free-floating A7075 aluminum alloy spool starts faster and spins longer
Fast spool changes
Magforce®-V automatic magnetic spool brake
Eight-disc wet drag with precision click adjustment
Precision-click free-spool adjustment
Infinite Anti-Reverse

I have a 2009 Hobie Outback for sale also, and am asking for $1300 for this great pleasure or fishing platform.  It is used and has the usual usage wear (no damage), but is in great condition, no problems with it at all and works great on the water.  It really has not seen much use either, maybe 8-10 short trips on it.  It comes with the following:

Hobie Outback in red with front hatch, mid storage etc
Milk carton used for rear fishing tackle storage with bungie attachments to secure it.
Original Hobie mirage fins
Original Hobie Seat
Original Hobie wheels for transport
Original Hobie two piece logo'ed paddle
Original Hobie Rudder
Also includes a Plano watertight, crush proof lock box for wallet and keys etc.
Also includes a wet bag for gear.
Original Twist and Seal Sotarge with gear bucket included
No mods added, all original body.

Soft rack included
Life jacket included
If desired a pair of size 9 NRS wet shoes will be thrown in free, also in excellent condition, just give a wash.

Hobie specs:
Length: 12' 1" / 3.68 m
Fitted Hull Weight: 75 lbs / 34.02 kg
Fully Rigged Weight: 88.3 lbs / 40.05 kg
Width: 33" / .84 m
Capacity: 400 lbs / 181 kg
Crew: 1
Hull Construction: Rotomolded Polyethylene

The picture attached is from Hobie (link reference: http://www.hobiecat.com/kayaks/mirage/outback/)

Pics below.  The Outback and all accessories have been stored in a garage since purchase.

I will also be including a life-jacket and a set of soft racks for transport.  Please be prepared to pickup yourself or I can consider transport within a small radius close to my home.

You can reach me at [email protected] or at 408-425-2315, cash only transactions please.  I am in the Fremont, Union City, Newark Area.  Looking forward to hearing from you guys soon.

Cheers.

UPDATE:

The Hobie Outback has been sold and the St.Croix rod and Diawa steez reel are still for sale and make an awesome addition to any kayak fishing platform.

steez and St.Croix still for sale - dropped price - if interested in making an offer I will entertain any sensible offer.  Just PM or email me at [email protected].  I am looking for a quick sale, so this is your chance to get these almost new at a great price, just make me a reasonable offer.
