no sign of life at the port of sac deep channel barge canal

Some boaters said they hooked up on some cat fish, i was out there for any kind of scaled action.  I didnt paddle beyond lake washington overpass though.  Maybe the wrong time of day, was out there between 4 and 6.  Id be up for heading out there again, the sacramento looked ugly.

Good try at the port Jay.  The port can be difficult.  What technique did you try?  BTW welcome to the brotherhood

I tossed spinners, swim, and crank baits, bounced worms off the bottom as well.  Not even a tick, should have brought some live bait, but rushed out there.  Some other guys from the bank had some shaker action.  Need to see about getting after some crappie, but no fish finder, and not trying to get harassed by the port patrol.  Nice to be here, long time member of fsniffer, but it started getting boring there.
