Please tell me where in the world you conquered this monster slab.
My girlfriend and I have been searching Berryessa for crappie and have been shut out.
I live in Vallejo too, I will even bring some fried fish over to your house if we catch some !!!!

Thanks,

Brett

Nice spot Dave! Sorry I couldn't fish longer with you. Had biz to do. Jed WTG on the crappie. One of the reasons I don't compete in the AOTY is the snub on crappie, bluegill and sand dabs. I'd rather catch a slab crappie than a blue marlin.  :smt044

A very late post!  Thanks to my fellow Loose Screws for a great time at Lupine Shores this past weekend.  The fishing was pretty slow for me but it was still a great time chillin' with the Screws and friends.

Dave, that would be mine. Thanks for picking it up for me. I'll swing by tomorrow after work to come get it. Thanks again. About the crappie, the funny thing was, I got hungry not having anything to eat all day so on my way back to camp, I've decided to troll on my way in. I thought it was a big trout at first being that I was going fast and the lure was this 2" Rapala that mimics a shad. When the fish came close to the yak, I was surprised that it was a crappie. I caught the fish around the point across the ramp of Lupine Shores.

Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

That IS a monster crappie.
If anyone would like to meet up on Sunday, I am going to launch from the ramp @ Lupine.

Hi Guys,

Frank & I also had a great time, F & C, meeting new people and eating.  Thanks to all for the delicious food.  We both caught our first fish for the year, hopefully, not the last.  Here are a few pics I took.  The weather was cold but the scenery was beautiful .
