End of the Steve Moyer Tournament?

Wow is this true after 10 years? What a sad day for CA kayak fishing.

Glad I got in on the last two. 

Was it confirmed recently, Scott? I know that's been the rumor since last year's tourny.

Bummer. Alan and I fished the second one years ago. It was fun, but not near as fun as Nor Cal events.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but at it's peak, the Steve Moyer Memorial Derby in La Jolla attracted about 200 participants.  I'm also sadden since the derby supported a great cause and even raised funds for some our NorCal brothers in need.  I had the privilege of being at the last event with Mooch, Rockhopper, and Guitarzan.  Last year, they barely attracted as many participants as we had at the last Fisherman's Derby at ARW.

It was fun, but not near as fun as Nor Cal events.
