Did the Lower Moke 3/9 with Dan from Headwater Kayaks in Lodi along with a father and son team.  Dan got 4 to 19", I got one that was around 18" and the father and son team got a couple each.  The one I caught did 5 or 6 spectacular leaps out of the water at least 3', really hard fighting fish.  I repositioned and nailed its twin but after a couple of jumps it got off while I was trying to turn my Go-Pro cam on  (forgot to put the memory card in the Go-Pro so nothing from it).
Beautiful warm day with little or no wind.  Only saw two other guys on the water, they launched before we did and we never saw them again.  Water flows are down to 255 CFS, makes the water only good for kayaks just about.  Water clarity is gin clear, lots of nice fish in the water but they are very spooky.
Gearing up:

Nice one Dan!

On the water:

Dan nails another nice one:

Put in is the Hatchery at Comanche Dam. Take out is 4 miles down stream in the town of Clements on MAcVille Rd. Stillman McGee Park. $5 fee to leave a car at Stillman nothing to park at the hatchery day use are. I may have another trip in the work in the next two weeks. Let me know if you would like to join in.

Ed Thanks for the report and to good PR. I always love hitting the river with you. You and I would be out there past dark if we had our way. Here are a few of the shots I took from my phone while OTW.

I really like the coosa, I have only been on it once at Rancho Seco, it handles the moke like a champ.

Pretty wild rainbows!  That looks like a great river for kayak fishing.  What kind of gear are you guys normally throwing?  Hardware?  Bait?

Everything!  I tried nymphing with an indicator, got a couple of strikes but nothing stuck.  Tried various lures...........Dan and the other guys stuck with worms and did well.  The bite is very soft, you have to be on your toes to set the hook.
