Gary Howes just sent this in with the note: "An anonymous photographer parked at the Putah Creek bridge snapped this photo and sent it to me yesterday. So the rumor of an alligator in the lake is true!" Maybe the BOR planted the alligator there to discourage people from jumping off Jumping Rock. Should be a good tourist attraction.

That thing looks like it is 30 ft long. Looks photo shopped to me 

Are alligators from Berryessa going to count for AOTY ?

Only if I can photo shop my hog trough in the photo too. 

It's about as real as Salmon in Del Valle.

Maybe they should just change the name to no jumping rock.

What is the water temp in that lake? I can't imagine it is warm enough to support a gator of any size

Woohoo a new species to bow hunt at Da Berry!!  Seriously, I wish this was true as it would be fun + less skiers....double score!

Lake Berryessa News shared a photo.
Since a photo of Allie the Lake Berryessa alligator first surfaced last December, a couple more have been uncovered. One is from Steele Park below a demolished mobile home. The other is from Glory Hole a few years ago when the lake was low.

Based on this evidence, UC Davis biologists plan to mount an expedition to track her down on Monday, April 1, 2013. Who knows what else that date may unveil.

We float tube out of Steele Park and so far I still have all my toes.  I'm suppose to go to Steele Park next Sunday, if I go I will keep an eye out for the gator.  Maybe I will bring out my 9 weight and some big flies.

For the Salmon slam III We should all bring inflatable alligators and put them all over the lake.
