Got a new Garmin 400C color fishfinder today.  Dielectric grease will be applied to all connections and reapplied every time on the water.  Installed the transducer in goop and can't wait to try it out.  No more filing the "donut" with water if this works out.  The connectors on the Garmin are much more secure than on the cheap Eagle.  I'm hoping " you get what you pay for" will prove to be true.  The Garmin color screen looks incredible in the simulation mode.
