The LMB bite is on at Hogan. Fished from 7 am to 9:20 am (ran out of sencos) About 20 fish with most between 2.5 and 3 lbs and the biggest over 6 lbs. With the water up there is so much to fish. Went to take pics-forgot to put the card back in the camera :smt013
What a great day. Also first day on new p-15

Great report Jack. Sounds like you had a good time. I might give Hogan a try next weekend.

What was the best color Senko and how was the boating pressure?

This yak fishing is pretty cool :smt004 I was at the very south end at whisky creek whitch is all 5 mph only saw a couple boats. You can drive to the south end and right to the water,I never lost sight of my truck.I used a 4" senco cinnamon/blk&purp flk. I use a #1 ew gamakatsu
hook. That is the only bait I took with me. The bite was very soft I waited to long on the first few and they spit hooks :smt011, Some I waited to long and they swallowed the hook :smt011.I am not used to sitting down fishing so that will take a while.

Good job.  I am officially jealous.  Hope to get my new Hobie Adventure on Friday, spend a day or two in the Delta getting used to it, and then Hogan might be a target.  If I decide to go I will post an invitation for company.  Do you know if there is any striper action?

Hi SD,
To be honest I didn't even look for any Striper action,I was to busy trying to keep the Kayak upright. I know how to Bass fish so Thought that would be best while trying to fish from a Kayak for the first few times. 5-1-06 after work went out for about 1 1/2 hrs Caught 5 and lost at least that many, They were smaller tonight but did have a big fish of 3 1/2 lb. Having a ball fishing from a Kayak.

I was just joking about keeping the Kayak upright I do feel good on it. Sometimes I set the hook a little hard and that gets my attention. I do hang my feet over the sides mostly to cool off or just change positions. I am very happy with this Kayak. This thing will accelerate-It also keeps going after I stop paddling-Need to learn when to stop paddling. Thanks for the advice & keep it coming.

when fishing from a kayak the golden rule is "NO SUDDEN MOVEMENTS"  :smt002
