Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I really like the "new" advice. I've seen the merry-go-round in action from the cliff top at Gerstle Cove. There's a pretty consistent pattern to some of the coves on the Sonoma coast that I've used for years Nothing spectacular but it's generally allot easier to go out on one side and come back on the other.

Thanks for posting, it's some beautiful photography as well.

Cool vid but it bears mentioning that the larger the surf the bigger the rip. And for beach go-ers knocked down and dragged way outside in street clothes in 50* water immediately swimming parallel to the beach and letting whitewater push them back to shore can be life & death. Waiting for the rip to carry & leave them way outside might be deadly as hypothermia sets in. I've seen mile long rips at O.B, PR, Salmon Creek, etc. You wait that long and you'll be too cold and too far to make it back. What the vid talks about is cool for small surf days though.
