I bought waders less than a year ago and got a hole in it thanks to a catfish spine

Do I...:

A.  Repair it (How do I fix it?)
B.  Cut the socks off and use it like paddling pants
C.  Contact the manufacturer and hope they'll fix/replace it

Thanks,
Jason

Buy a repair kit, and patch it. I am assuming they are breathable and seeing that you have had them a year without leaks they are doing great. IT will give you material for backing and a patch for the front to sammich the hole and give it a good seal. Last time I bought one it was around $4 at Dick's Sporting Goods.

If you know where the hole is just put a dab of marine goop on the inside, if you need to find the hole , turn them inside out, fill with water and mark the hole with a sharpie. Pour out water and let dry, then goop/ patch as needed.
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Ditto that!

Goop works well, but if want a faster alternative, use .....

I used my waders for the first time this weekend, and man what a diff it made!!!  Cant believe how warm you can be when your feet aren't wet all day.  If only I could find a way to put in a relief zipper!  :smt044

What brand did you get Al? A relief zipper will be needed for sure!
