My girlfriend Becky and I met up with Alfredo around 7 am at Ranch Seco. Overcast skies and a little cooler than I expected, but a paddling jacket and light weight quick dry nylon pants and Teva's were very comfortable.
The water was VERY warm as one fisherman told Al he had a reading of 68 degrees. I was amazed at the crystal clarity of the water.
Al hooked up first, and second, and third...etc. I was thinking I was going to be 0-9 this year. ( yesterday's shore fishing at Ice House and Sly Park yielded nada).
Al gave me the right color Senko and Wham! Losing streak broken. Light brown was the ticket.
I hooked up 2 more times when the sun came out on a darker Senko, with each time the fish gettng bigger ( could they get any smaller?).
Afterwards we went to the picnic area and BBQ'd some hot dogs and had potato salad, chips and salsa and beer and soda.
I did the opposite of the Fish Snifffer pose and it sure shows, but at least the skunk streak is broken!

Looks like a good time. I hope to catch a few Bass tomarrow. It has been a long time.I just hope I can sit on a kayak and fish at the same time. I would like to try Rancho sometime.

I had a great day at RS with Becky and Tote. Always a pleasure to fish with fun people.
I wanted to hit the water a little early, so I arrived at RS at 6:30am... the gate was locked. Sign says it doesn't open 'til 7am. The gatekeeper arrived at 6:45 and let the line of fishermen in. Weather was overcast, cleared up later in the day. I caught 5 or 6 little bass, biggest was 14". One guy told me he caught a 7 pounder. A nice lunch finished a very enjoyable day.

We all love report pictures, so I'll post a few.
There's a few more in my gallery: Alfredo Gallery

First bass of the day. All of mine were caught on 4" Senkos, pumpkin or a dark with glitter, texas rigged.

Dang Al I feel bad for not breaking out MY camera. I had no idea you were taking pics. If you ever decide to change careers I think you have a future as a Private Eye.
As awlays it was great to fish with you. Looking forward to the next time. Good luck at Pardee tomorrow.

Thanks, but I think I'll stick to what I do now. I'm too old or too lazy to change careers now.
