Gimme Shelter is the other NCAL event worth attending for you.  The Lost Coast is magical like Big Sur and a legit shot at salmon and PAC butts. Like Albion, total fishing and eating carnage.  GS also has a wide arrange of hotel and motel options at reasonable costs as well as camping. GS is our woodstock and red barn is our burning man. Lots of tourney options not to mention freshwater like the salmon slam.

Changed my life maaan! It was a far out scene! I met my spirit guide there! It came to me in the form of a Chicken Embryo, then I splashed some vinegar on it and ate it!

Shelter looks like... well, the real deal. What else would it be? Something about that northerly ocean attracts only the best sort of people. Who knows, maybe this is the year I get all the way up there. Hope so!
