We're gonna try for Sturgeon and Striper Monday, 2/13.  Launching at McAvoy Harbor around 7:00 AM.  So far it looks like it will be me, Hobie Dave, Daviator, Sailfish?  Company welcome.

Wish I could make this one, but work is work, my only outting for sturgeon there was in the fall, went north across the ship channel not too far past the channel marker, caught 2 shakers and saw 2 keepers boated.  Andy (baitnbeer's) advice on the spot.  That's about 3/4 mile across from the mouth of the harbor.
Current rips pretty good thru there.

Good Luck.

Looking forward to being OTW with the crew. Also we will attempt to recover Dave's long lost anchor with something I made today.

Did any of you fish the Superbowl Sturgeon Derby?
And yea, the current gets screamin' fast through there.

Gosh.... I wish I could go.... but guess I'll have to wait until the next weekend to fish with the LS crew.

Sorry Dave, wish you would have asked my about a grapping hook, could have saved you the time making one; I have one already rigged up... Let me know if you guys need it.... maybe you can use 2 hooks to find it faster....

See you all in a couple of weeks...

How much does a anchor cost $15? And you are going to spend valuable time on the water looking for it? There comes a time when you need to weigh the cost vs fishing time to see if it is really worth the effort but hey good luck on that.  Hope you get some action.
