Hit Mendo with jelly for a short afternoon session.  Trolled two rods with mega-minnows for about 20 minutes before getting spanked. Trolled another hour or so for nada.  Fish was named even Steven...10#s on the button and 30 inches on the nose.  Stoked to see the lake shaping up.  Plan on hitting again this weekend.

Nice fish Sean, damn I want to come up bad, but I have to help my parents throw an Easter Party Sunday. What part of the lake ? Guess I will be calling in sick this week, don't think I will make it to the weekend. What about netting shad?

No shad dipping yet, still a little cold and dirty.  Mid-week would be sweet.

Nice bass!  I'm with John M., I've always wondered how that little lake is so packed!  Or it may just be that Sean is so dialed...   :smt002  Good fish karma is powerful stuff.   :smt004

The secret of magical fish densities is the Striped Bass Assoc. of Ukiah.  They fork out there own cash to keep it stocked, and ride herd on the Corps and my work (SCWA) to operate it in a striper friendly manner.  It works.  There are obviously other factors at play, but they deserve the lions share of the credit.  Thats why I felt it would be right for us to donate the raffle cash to them last year, and a GWKC is a business sponsor of the SBA.

Jelly took it back at the launch.  Please don't refer to him as any kind of god, he's pretty tough to life with already. :smt003
