No 215 here but lots of trout biting in Rollins lake... (colfax area off I 80 2400ft elevation)
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

I was a bank fisherman long before getting out in my yak, but I found the north shore at Lake Camanche, and Angel's Cove at New Melones to be really good spots for trout in the Fall and Winter.  I plan on going to Camanche next weekend and trying the fishing from my kayak.  I haven't fished south shore in a long time.  Pardee will open back up in February and offers good chances for trout.  Amador has 2 and 3 lb+ that are bred at the lake but it's expensive to fish there.  There are higher lakes (hwy 88) that offer a good chance for trout, but I can't make any comment on them at this time.

welcome to the madness and to Sac, Califas. Your in of the best fishing organization's you could be in and Sac is literally surrounded with great fisheries. It must be why you moved here, right? :smt003...lots of pellet fed trout could be found at are local area ponds and lakes. just go to dfg.ca.gov to find when and where there planting  a new batch. elk grove park, mather park, hagen oak and william are a few places to name a few. If its the rush off the kayak you want, camanche, berryessa are close and hard to beat right now. so is collins and englebright. but just like the other homies have said, just check out the hookup thread, someone will reply. The port of sac in west sacramento is also a very good place to fish and is very kayak friendly. You wont find trout in there, but if you like lots of hard fighting stripers, crappie, and bass, its a hardplace to beat. goodluck and post a report, we enjoy those a lot, with fish or not! :smt003 Fishworks/ricci
