PB crabbing out of Bodega

I was asked by My buddy Norseman to go out crabbing with his friends Debbie and Greg on Gregs 28ft Skippy. Beautiful boat and we had some fun. The crabs are not as thick now, so we needed to pull his whole string to get 4 limits. Man the gurdy sure makes it easy. beautiful day. OTW at 8am and off at 10:30. Cant beat that!

4 Limits in under 3 hours is still a nice thing.

Oh heck ya Victor! When Greg firstdropped the pots he was getting up to 31 legals in one pot. Thats huge and almost all jumbos. They must have ben fighting to get in the door.

No pics from Debbie yet. I found Scomas recipe for crab cakes. They didnt turn out like Scoms though hehe. 2.08 lbs of picked meat in 8

We saw about 4-5 kayakers crabbing outside the jetty. 3 on the wst side back in that little cove like area.

You should of come by and hooked me up!  Did you see the Triple with Ab Lab on board? It's tough out here this weekend, but there are still a few jumbos around.  Four crabs in two days with over twenty shorts per legal is tough crabin.  Here is a nice 7+ next to a clicker.

Its a good year for crab.  The commercial guys are finally getting a reasonable price.  A buddy and I went home with 6 each from Humboldt bay in front of King Salmon after an 1.5hrsoak.  Im about to to pull the pots from an overnight soak.  Hopefully the outgoing current tide isn't to rough.
