do you need to Weigh down promar crab traps?
If so how much weight?
Does anyone weigh down their doors of metal cage traps, keep them from swaying open in current, if so how much weight?

I weight down each of mine just to make sure no movement from a light current.
Just add Ocean

I put about 2oz of lead on the danielson doors, but the promars I do not use any weight.

Im going to hit up hmb this week.
After I drop the pots I'm going to try some sand dab and sardine fishing?! I saw some big schools of bait the other day out there.

No weights on the doors (yet) but I use 3 pieces of rebar wired to the bottom of the cage for weight.

ditto....few wraps of pencil lead on each door works great

anything
