North Lake Tahoe Cabin Suggestions

Me and five friends  are planning our annual snow trip to North Lake Tahoe this year.  We've done South Lake for a few years running, and looking for an uncharted change to North Lake.  I've checked VRBO and there is quite a bit of inventory for the weekend we want, but i'm not sure where to start.  They all look fairly decent. 

The others may go skiing/ snowboarding, but I'll most likely do XC, snowshoe, or snow running (if I can even do that on my busted ankle). 

Anyway, what's the going rate on a North Lake cabin that'll sleep six?  And what areas to avoid, or which ones are desirable?  I think the group is probably looking for under $350/ night.

When are you planning to go?

The weekend of January 20, leaving Jan 22.  Hopefully there's snow by then!!   

If not, there's always the casinos!!  LOL

You've got good access to skiing etc up on the pass and casinos.

Kings beach is the Ghetto so stay outta that area!

   8 bedrooms  4 baths,    three blocks up from lake.      Should rent for much more than 250 / night .   very nice and comfortable.   

     Last summer was my first time up... I built the rock fireplace for them.
