X-Factor vs. Emotion Fisherman

I don't have experience with either the the X-Factor or Emotion, but here is a link where you can get an overview of both:

One other thing to consider is service.  If you buy from a local shop/dealer, they will typically take care of any problems.  Its expensive and a hassle to ship a 70lb kayak back east for repairs.  

Lastly, I made some mistakes buying my first couple of kayaks.   I was swayed be cheap prices and sacraficed what I really wanted to save a few $$.  In the end, I sold them and ponied up for a kayak that I like.  If you have you sights set on a specific model, go for it.  In the long run its worth it.

Let me know when you plan to fish Chabot - I've fished that lake once (on a float tube) and did pretty good. I caught 8 Bass in ONE spot   Using a spinner bait. Anyway, now that I have a kayak - I'd like to explore the entire lake.

Del Valle is another spot you might wanna try.

Joel,  I've fished DelValle a handful of times and had pretty good success.  Might go out Saturday to Chabot, but I would have to take my wifes Tarpon.  Hmmmmm.
