I woke up late and missed out on the Moss outing with Chef, Pat, and Tom.... so I went crabbing at Linda Mar with Jason "jselli" instead.  We scored some nice crabs.   I was two shy of dungie limit, but made up for it with some big rock crabs.  Mooch stopped by to test his Scupper Pro TW in the surf and also took a few photos.

While our pots were soaking, we tried trolling near the shore break for halibut and stripers, but no takers.

I marked some big anchovy bait balls in the cove and saw lots of bird action in the distance.  I hope it won't be long before the salmon arrive.

I want to start out by saying thank you to Chuck for his great knowledge and teaching skills.  I think I have mastered the art of Crabbing from linda mar.  Now I just need a couple more traps.  All in all I spent about six hours at Linda Mar.  Had few launches and landings and some great mental health time. I ate the crab last night and it was delicious. I was hoping for some striper too but that will come soon.  I think the next time I get out I will bring my salmon trolling rig. With the bait in there could be some early season takers.

Joel was a mad man on the scupper covering major ground quickly. He blew his shark whistle a couple times but we couldn't get the landlord to show his face.  A furbag showed up though  :smt002. All in all a great day on the water with better company.

I'm not sure what this photo is all about but by the looks of it, Jason's kayak air bag deployed itself  :smt011 (must be the new model of the Prowler 15)

Joel,

If I am not mistaken that is not an air bag although it does give me an Idea.  I actually forgot my burlap sack for the crabs and had to use a pottery barn bag I had lying around my truck to hold them. Yes I picked out some drapes the other day. They were called esspresso. I will post picks. J/K.  Hey a good WAF builder is picking out quality home accessories.  :smt003
