Thinking of trying here for the first time with a couple of crab pots.  Second time kayak fishing, just did Doran Beach.

Anyone else likely to be around?

only crabbing , no fishing up there at this time of year. Wish it wasn't so.

Check the regs. carefully, there are restrictions in the river mouth regarding crab pots vs. crab hoops. My brother said DFG was being very picky. Good luck  :smt001
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.
