I had the same issue, no reply.

It is Thanksgiving weekend. Maybe the guy is out of town.
If he had a receipt for the kayak it wouldn't be a bad deal. Especially if you had a Revo. You can only use one kayak at a time.
One possibility is that his car was broken into and that's the stuff that was stolen.
Just trying to look at it from a positive side.
The possibility remains that the hull is stolen.
Having said that; no receipt would mean no purchase for me.

he got a replacement hull and for some reason got to keep his old one that has issues....

prolly a scam or stolen..
