Well the initial reaction was to yell AWWW :smt005 :smt005 we heard it so many times and try to shake it or pull, DONT!...heres a tip on what to do..trust me if you see me handling crabs and tossing them like nothing on bare hand (no gloves) you will be like what was he thinking? honestly got pinch a feww times Im just hard headed  :smt075 first..here comes the pot filled with crabs..excited? well you should....when you get pinch you can scream your lungs out but that crab wont hear it..dont try to yank it its their instinct to grab hard so what to do? Do not move a finger you will feel the grab loosen at that moment pull your hand as fast as you can...Shoot it didnt work oh well ouch :smt003 then put your hand to the water (ocean not boiling lol :smt044 :smt044) they will definitely let go..shoot it didnt work :smt013 now your in more pain :smt012 .. :smt002 Pliers then crush the pincher as last resort..dont get pinch..if you do try this steps it will help (i hope so) next Video on how to handle crabs from your pots...

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

If you can the best thing to do is flip the crab on its back. Once on its back it will become calm and almost in hypnotic mode. Thats the best way I have learned to handle them. When holding them keep them in the same postion.

Usually, I like to pull away from the crab...because I really am not thinking rationally....leaving a bloody wound that usually bleeds worst than any fish in the boat. Then I like to dip the wound in the water leaving a nice scent trail...because I am still not thinking. Amazing how those little claws can rip apart the hands. To be honest I don't get pinched, I usually get cut while moving quickly to get through the trap full of shorts. I was once on the Oregon coast and a nice size one got away in the boat and grab my leg through my wetsuit... that hurt... he hurt worse hitting that boiling water :smt003

That is what I have Cody for! Boy loves his crab! All I gotta do is drive!
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.
