WX looks to be okay this weekend, I'm considering going down to SWS this Sunday.  Thinking of arriving at 6:30 AM for a 7:00 AM launch.  Company welcome.

Anyone know if the parking situation at sws has improved from last reports?  Thanks!

Yes, stillwater cove south, in pebble beach.

Michael, Joel:
Good luck to you both if ya decide to fish there! Wish I could join ya both, but I'll be driving back down to make it to work that morning. The last time I was out at SWS was couple weeks back. At that time, they were still working hard out there, and I'm assuming that they'll still be there working.

Hope to hookup with ya both sometime as well, it's been a long time! :D

The coastal access parking was blocked off two weeks ago due to asphalt construction that i was told may go into late November. You may have to drop off equipment and park back on 17 Mile Drive, near the tennis courts, like I did. You can then walk across the golf course about two hundred yards back to your launch spot. Ur not supposed to park in the club parking lot near the launch spot.

Thanks for the info on the parking situation Chaeki and Great White Minnow.  The Coastal Access parking spots in the tennis club parking lot was hard to find in the dark.  I ended up driving past the lot a couple times after unloading my gear at the beach.  Although there isn't a great sign showing were the tennis club lot is located,  at least once you find the lot. there was a nice well lit sign and path showing the way back to the beach club.

It was a nice day OTW yesterday.  Bink and I met a fellow that had an unfortunate  run in with a sealion.  The sealion went after his stringer while he was fighting a fish.  Took his stringer, dunked him, and he lost his rod.  We didn't see it happen but I'm glad he made it back in safely.  With the recent local GWS activity on my mind, I woulda freaked out if I saw that guy get his yak flipped.

Daniel- thanks for the kind words..  When are we going fishing?  Its been a long time.

I've witnessed the same action by the SWS sea lions.  Always keep your fish inside your yak.  Good thing my buddy did not tip over.
He did get the head back. :smt002
