Omar and I will be in the ATL from November 11th thru about the 15th to see the Falcons vs. Saints game at the Georgia Dome...game day is the 13th.  Other than the game we don't have much of an agenda.

Georgia happens to be one place I've never been so I don't know much about the area.  I have a few friends from the Corps that live around there but I haven't called to find what they got going on.

I'm looking for tips on things to do while we're there and maybe the name of a cool place to stay... I still have to make a reservation.  I'll likely rent a car and don't mind driving a bit but I'm hoping to keep it a bit local.  Omar's only 9 so I'll have to keep it all kid friendly.

If you have any helpful information let me know.  The names of good places to eat would be appreciated too.

Finally booked everything.  Staying at the Hilton a few blocks from the Dome.

It sounds like there is quite a bit to do around there so I'm hoping not to have to rent a car.

Wife was out at Athens for business and said they have the best fried chicken.  she ate at a place the group REM use to eat at alot.  I'd hit up the southern cooking joints.

So so far I have:

- Check out the Coca Cola factory before going to the drive thru.
- Carry a weapon because everyone who visits Atlanta (Saints Fans in this case) are vicious.
- Don't wear my big camera because everyone in Atlanta are thieves.
- Eat lots of fried chicken, especially if REM approveds of the joint.
- Stay away from the the housewives, they're vicious too even though they aren't really visitors.

Sounds like this is going to be a fun trip.   :smt003
