Great weekend up on the coast for diving and time with my wife. Went out on Friday at Russian Gulch, loaded up the yak and paddled over a few coves and found 25 fr vis and no swell. Did about 14 dives best being 28 ft 60 seconds and pulled my 3 abbs. On the way back in I paddled through my first cave a little scary but extremely exciting. The cave was 5 to 8 ft high and 5 to 20 ft wide.
After a nice break I loaded up my dive gear, paddled out and drooped down to 50 ft and shot 2 Lind and a couple of balcks. Made it to the surface, on my way back to the yak and felt a head shake and a 30 inch ling got off, I could barely sleep that night thinking of what I could have done different.
The next day met up with the same conditions only had one tank left so went out for a dive and 5 minutes into the dive found a huge 37 inch 21 1,2 lb Ling. didn't take any chances this time brought him straight to the boat still with the shaft through his head. Slept great that night

Nice lingy.   :smt001

Funny how, for many of us, the triumphs as well as the tragedies will often fill our thoughts as we lay there trying to sleep.  If I can manage to be thinking of the one that got away or the nice one I caught instead of trouble at the office then I'm content.

The other night I scored a nice last second goal to tie up the game against a soccer team that was ranked significantly higher than mine - I slept great that night.  :smt003

Being an honorable sportsman is way more important than what you catch.
