I picked up one of these at MBK yesterday and tried it out at Carmel State Beach as my family was playing around.
I am pretty impressed, its only 3 5/8 long and can easily fit inside a PFD and waterproof.  Clarity was pretty good too.
You don't get a large field of view because of its size but overall pretty impressive.

I have that one and it's pretty good.  The bigger, more expensive Brunton monocular is not that much better, really, and a lot more bulky.

Also, even though they are waterproof I'd try to keep em out of the water.  One of mine fogged up and had to be replaced, (the larger one).

Very handy to have around for ID'in other yakkers and spotting structure.  Monoculars are the way to go for on the water use.
