23,000 women and me.

 :smt003

Not my fastest half, but I had negative splits (I got faster throughout the whole race), I saw my wife and daughters out there cheering for me and, most importantly, the race participants raised over $13 MILLION dollars for Cancer research this year!!

 :smt007 :smt007 :smt007

My results:

http://nikerunning.nike.com/nikeos/p/nikeplus/en_US/mapping/#/events/NWM2011/nwm_2011_half/sm2p197

I placed 47th out of 112 in my age group!

6 minute Half Marathon tour!

THANK YOU to all who supported me with kind words and donations to this great cause...I truly appreciate all of your help and support.

Special shout out to DaBlazer Don....we played phone tag and turns out he walked right by me while I was drinking pool side after the race back at the hotel, but he didn't hear me call his name out!!  :smt005

Next time buddy!!

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Stoked indeed!!

There is a lottery that you enter to get into the race or you can commit to raising $$ for LLS and do it through your local Team in Training chapter...

The finishing medal is a Tiffany's necklace presented by an SF FireFighter in a tuxedo....major WAF points for bringing home that little blue box!
