The last few times I was out near Tomales, the Bodega Marine Lab research vessel was catching and tagging great whites.  The first day I heard they had a 16 footer, and the next was a 12 footer (last friday and sunday).  These were both apparently caught around the point.  Scary stuff.  Word of advice; don't ever read the list of local shark attack reports if you plan on diving, it's bad...

Are they outside or inside the bay?

What do you mean by "caught?" Is this that group of "scientists" that (probably) killed the shark at the islands last year? The ones that bring the shark out of the water for 20 minutes to tag it?
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...
