Van Damme Dive Conditions

Two friends and I dove Van Damme in Mendocino yesterday Tues for abs and spear fishing. Visibility was poor at about 3 feet. We still had fun though and all got our ab limits . Wind picked up around noon at about 5 - 10 mph out of the NW.

Awesome Garratt... bummer about the conditions, but way to go on pushing through it!

That kind of vis up there this time of year is kinda unusual, unless it was kicked up stuff, or was  it a bloom of some sort?

Love Van Damme, there a lifetime of diving to be had within a mile of the launch.

I think it was stuff kicked up because there was like a 6 - 10 foot swell in the water. I agree, Van Damme is really nice place with lots of potential.
