Who knew??
I wanted to let mother nature clean the head of the ling I got yesterday.
I put the head in a cage and placed the cage out in my backyard.
I set up my game cam to see what would happen.
I was expecting foxes.
Here's what I got.

It was a black cat. There were a few other pics but this one looked kind of freaky.
Dunno if they would eat it or not. I know at Manzanita Lake I would hear the bears ravage the garbage cans at night only to find out it was the deer, not bears.

It's in the cage to keep the critters from getting to it but the bees and ants are having a field day.
Going to try to save the skull and jaws. We'll see what happens.

sweet!  Love the whole herd checking out the stink!!
In Missouri, the most effective way to get a late season deer is go out with a chainsaw and cut down a tree for firewood.  Just keep the rifle close and leave the saw running when you set it down for the shot...

who says you cant work AND play  :smt002
