I have a couple questions about the T100.
Is it stable enough to take out on the ocean?
I usually go to stinston beach for salmon.
is it safe?

The tarpons are very stable boats imo. I have not used the 100 I have the 120 I think the only issue you might have is storage space but I think you would be fine on a calm day.

that's good,
because I, even if the fish where bitting like crazy,
would never go out on a unstable day.
thanks.

I'm 5'10", and while I don't have any experience w/ T100, I do have a Hobie Sport that is 10' long. Very small real estate in the tankwell. I like it for freshwater, but have reservations about taking it out to the ocean.  General consensus is that a longer yak is better for tracking and speed.  My son has taken the Sport out to timber cove and liked it, but that was his 1st experience on the ocean and has nothing to compare it to (he was also pedaling and had a rudder).  I know it's not the same yak, but lot's of previous discussions about what length is necessary for ocean.

I would guess that 80+ percent of people fishing the ocean have yaks 12.5 -16 feet long.

Hope someone can weigh in on the T100.  See u otw!

This is just my two cents.  I paddle a OK T11 and my wife paddles a Tarpon 100.  We do the ocean but, we are not "offshore" paddlers.  We maybe go out half a mile and we watch weather close anyway.  She is 5'2' and maybe 120 and her boat floats much higher than mine which also sucks in the wind. At first I thought low in the water was kind of unstable but, now I like being able to easily throw my legs over for crabbing or going up to the forward hatch,etc...That said. the storage on the tarpon IMHO sucks for fishing compared to my boat but, inside boat storage may not be an issue for you.  I can fit two sets of wheels in mine and still have extra paddle, rods and reels, drybags, drift sock and line plus 23 pool noodles.  I got my T11 for $700.00 new on sale (Same as most Tarpon 100's).   I have really come to love the Trident and if home storage, transporting, etc  were not an issue for me I would have gotten the T13...no question.  I would rather pick up a prowler T13 and customize it as I could afford it than deal with a Tarpon 100. All just my opinion of course.  Also, her hatches leak much more than mine ever have. One good wave over the bow on a surf launch and her hatch contents are soaked. I plan on marine gooping them this weekend.

No worries about "boat wars", my wife LOVES her Tarpon and I really like the build quality (Tarpon and Ride were in my top three to consider but, went with OK because of weight and price). Never thought that it might be the seals (visually they look fine)was thinking more of the seal between the boat and hatch. We have to store them outside but, may still try and give the seals some "expand" time.
Thanks for the tip.

How many of you stand and fish on the 100? I want to stand and fish but I'm thinking of making my own stabilizers if needed.
