I have to pick up a kayak tomorrow in the afternoon, I will be going through Placerville to pick it up and figured I could go earlier to get some shore fishing in. I am not too familiar with the area so it would be nice to hang with a local, or get some good intel on where to go.

I'm not sayin' it's good to fish but it's a good place to take the yak out with the hopes of catching something....Sly Park aka Jenkinson Res.
It's just up the hill in Pollock Pines.
