Good luck guys! I had one on for 15 seconds and heard about a couple in the morning.  They're around and I hope they go on the bite on Wed.

They are around, but I think they are more concentrated up north. Santa Cruz, Captiola, and Moss landing has been the areas, although I heard the squid boats have been working the monterey area. Good luck ghost busting.

Dave,   Conditions continue to look really good, except for an increase in the winds around 3 PM to about 13 MPH.  We should be done by then anyway.  I'm thinkin' HMB around 7:00 AM.

I'd stay off the Monterey bay for now unless you love to catch Jellyfish  :smt005

Next full moon is around 9/12 so 9/9-9/15 would be good for a ghost hunt unless you get good intel. The seiners have cleared much of the squid which have scattered the fish for now.

Thanks for the info Scott.  We're still going to give it a try tomorrow.  If there are no Ghosts, there always seem to be rock fish in the area or maybe even a Halibut in the flats.  I'm sure the group will be up for another try next month after the full moon.  Seeing the Ghosts caught by others is making me salivate.  Let me know next time you're going out after them again.  I could really benefit from some tutoring.
