After fishing drano for a week and not being Salty for a month I headed west and found myself in Astoria OR was here in 78' and have always wanted to come back and check it out this is the lauching grounds for the fabeled Bouy 10... my poor yak is not up to it so I parked at safeway and found this cool rail train that goes along the water front for a buck so after loading my camel pac with some of the locals finist I headed into town...lot's of history here and lots of markers along the path with descriptive pics and info bout back in the day....cool place to walk along and drink a few beers and see the sights....found a great little mom and pops "fish and chips" place and had deep fried razor clams/calamri...can't believe I didn't take pics...it was the bomb!!!  was going to catch the train back but it stopped @ 7pm so I walked the couple miles back and found a bench and watched the sun go down in the west...was sort of zen.......going to head up 101 and find some SALMON got 2 weeks just to fish/hang/fish/fish/relax.....laters and Dont' forget to "Get Some for ShickenMooch with the side bet @ Red Barn Classic Oct 1" half the pot goes towards the FUND!!!
