Hi guys and gals:

Despite the south wind and low pressure, a few salmon were biting today. Best spots were mulligan's, south side of Moss, West edge of Soquel Hole, and straight out from Lightnouse Point.  Depths were best at 220 -300 feet of water, and the fish were deep, like from 180 feet to the bottom.

Most fish were caught trolling, the best spot for moochers was Moss.

Some PB's with a light load managed to get limits.  The party boats averaged about a fish per rod, so the fishing is not bad....they are deep though.

Allen's Report is pretty consistent with what we heard on the radio on Sat.

Fished with Chef, Joel, Ed and Jim off Pt Pinos.  Weather was very nice and got better as the day wore on.

Joel and I trolled in 240ft for many miles.  I had one at but lost it.

Later, we were mooching in the same depth and Joel had one taking his bait 150ft down.  He was patiently waiting, but it finally quit on him.

A bunch of guys are hitting moss today, so hopefully they have a better report.

When the fish are that deep (and we don't have downriggers on our yaks), the best bet is to probably mooch with heavier weight and drift sock.

No joke... loading up the reel in on my to do list. l put out 300 ft of spectra and was looking for more at one point. It's no fun reeling that much line in though.
