Crabbing starts November 5th, the best spots would be Doran beach or Lawsons Landing for kayak crabbing. Keep me updated I am down for this.

Doran beach day use area. There is a big parking lot with handicap bathrooms, picnic tables and barbecues right there on the beach at the launch. The launch is super protected by the jetty. I believe it is a sonoma county park and it costs 6-8 bucks to get in. There are also campsites there but they book up well in advance. Although i heard they keep extra campsites open to first come first serve. Some of us could go out and set pots to soak the day before. There should be a buttload of crab there. Especially nearer to the beginning of the season. We barely have to paddle a hundred yards. When the vets come, we can take them out and pull the pots and re-bait for a second pull after lunch. We could also work the hoop-rings up and down with them. They could also fish and crab off the jetty. We could probably boil-em up and ice them down right there so they can take some home. Set up a crabshack. You know how i roll.

Bodega is a little out of the range for the new pops here...but if anyone wants to borrow some traps + nets, i have like 3 eclipse style, 2 crab rings and 3 promar traps..not really sure how many i have actually.

I'm there!!! I have plenty of rings and could get a few pots. I'm camping out there for the  opener but will be more than happy to help out anyother weekend also.
I also have a new T13 to loan out thanks to RBC2!!!
The only thing I'm concerned with is how this red tide is going to affect the crab.
If anybody has any info on this it would be greatly appreciated.

It's cool you can go Ben.  Maybe next year.

Don, I might be interested once you've got a date set-up.
