Starts tonight at 9PM, Discovery Channel.

If you haven't seen it yet, its about the daily life of AK crab fisherman.  Pretty intense stuff.

Sort of like the stuff bluekayak see's out at Dux when the wind picks up, minus the ice, plus the tax man.

I was just going to make the post when I noticed you beat me to it. I can't wait.  Something as good as this show should not be missed.

By the way Shakira will be on American Idol in case you are interested.

Mooch is right on in regards to Survivor Man. That show is great. Lots of good of good stuff to learn.

Did you see the episode of "I shouldn't be alive" with the virgin kayaker up in the Northwest? I got about half way through that one and was so disgusted by the two participants that I changed channels. One idiot tells his buddy that he's an experienced kayaker, but in reality has never been in a boat. The two end up in some swell and some wind chop, and of course the newbie is without a spray skirt. Kayak cockpit begins to fill, stability is a problem, hands are getting colde etc...  And then the experienced guy just bails, supposedly "to go get help". At that point, I said to my wife that at least one of the two should be dead. Either the the newbie, if he hadn't lucked out. Or his buddy, after the newbie made it back, and stomped the life out of his "pal". I had to watch something else, it infuriated me so much.

Saw the kayak show, they should have never left knowing the were not equipped right, and knowing the tide was wrong.  And then go on TV and tell everybody what kind of DA's they were...

Deadliest catch starts at 10pm on my set up... got hooked on the 1st season..

I saw that episode too Scott.....I actually wanted to get a copy of that story and maybe show it to the rest of the gang and use it as a "reference to stupidity"  :smt011

Jmaire I have it on VHS tape 1st season that is if net-Felix doesn't have it. E-mail me your address

I saw the first survivor man, that guy is not too smart when he jumps into that really cold water with his clothes on, Wow really bad decision. notice how cold he was. Hypothermia is either the top cause or second likely causes of death when lost. he had found some plastic he should have rolled those clothes in the plastic, then jumped in the water naked and when he got out he would have nice dry clothes.
